DISCOVER THE FLAVOURS OF THE CITY
A gastronomic cycling experience in Copenhagen – for companies, families and friends.
Discover Copenhagen with Cykelkokken on a gastronomic cycling tour where food, city life and togetherness come together.
With our custom-built bicycle kitchens, we have created a truly unique restaurant concept where Copenhagen becomes our dining room. We prepare and serve gastronomic dishes in the open air at carefully selected locations – from vibrant urban spaces and beautiful waterfront settings to green oases and hidden gems that we have discovered and gained access to over the years.
We are passionate about gastronomy, Copenhagen and creating extraordinary experiences for our guests. As chefs, we love taking our kitchen outdoors, working with seasonal ingredients and treating our guests to exceptional food and personal hospitality. In many ways, our bicycle kitchens are our key to the city. They give us the freedom to connect places, flavours, nature and people in a way that only Cykelkokken can.
A Culinary Journey Through Copenhagen
Imagine a tour beginning on Copenhagen's waterfront with a welcome drink and the first small dish. From here, we cycle through the city's neighbourhoods, across bridges, along the harbour and perhaps into one of Copenhagen's green oases.
At each stop, the chef opens the mobile kitchen and prepares the next course. This might be fresh fish from Danish waters, prepared with seasonal vegetables and herbs, or bicycle-smoked fresh cheese with crispy flatbread, accompanied by Danish wine or cider. The tour might end with a contemporary interpretation of a classic Danish dessert.
Along the way, the chef shares their knowledge and enthusiasm for the food, the ingredients and the ideas behind the menu. We explore Nordic gastronomy, introduce local producers and touch on topics such as low-impact fishing, regenerative agriculture and the future of food.
The locations themselves are equally important. The chef explains why each setting has been chosen for a particular course and how the city's history, nature and architecture complement the food.
No two tours are exactly alike. The menu, route and dining locations are adapted to seasonal ingredients, the weather on the day and the individual group. This flexibility allows us to create a personal and thoughtfully curated gastronomic experience.
